Proposal Call Schedule
A call for proposals is generally made twice per year, approximately eight months before the run is scheduled to begin.

We call for proposals generally twice a year, about eight months before the run is scheduled to start. Subscribe to our Users' email list to be notified of future proposal calls that we also post in Announcements.
The following proposal types are always open, but we highly recommend that you contact our user office before submitting a proposal to ensure the type is appropriate for your needs.

Submit your proposal
Submit your proposal in the Universal Proposal System (UPS).
You'll need to log into the UPS with your ORCID ID. If you don't have an ORCID ID, register for one on your first log in.
The UPS is a unified platform to submit, manage, and review user proposals. We no longer accept proposal submissions in the User Portal.

We’ll start reviewing proposals once the submission deadline has passed. During this process, you may receive a questionnaire to provide additional technical information about your experiment.
