The LCLS COVID-19 Rapid Access Program enables high-impact experiments focusing on Coronavirus and COVID-19 utilizing the CXI and MFX instruments through rolling proposal review and rapid scheduling.  Accepted proposals received by June 5 will be integrated with high priority into the upcoming experimental Run.

Submit new Coronavirus/COVID-19 proposals

The format for Rapid Access proposals should be the same as for PCS proposals and can be submitted through the PCS proposal submission mechanism. In order to differentiate Rapid Access proposals, please indicate Rapid Access in the title or abstract of the proposal.

Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis as they are received, and accepted proposals will be scheduled as early as feasible.  Schedule constraints can impact Rapid Access throughout the LCLS schedule so please visit the details page or contact Mark Hunter (mhunter2@slac.stanford.edu) for additional information and guidance about available setups.

Rapid Access proposals are submitted separately from other LCLS proposals and there is a rolling review without any pre-defined due date. Please see the Rapid Access Program page and also review the LCLS proposal preparation guidelines for further details.
