MeV-UED Call for Proposals
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Due March 12, 2019
Proposals for beam time for MeV-UED at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
will be accepted via the web-based proposal system until 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
This call is for experiments to run from June through December 2019.
Please see full details of the call.
Since 2014, the SLAC UED instrument has been developing robust methods in the pursuit of time-resolved measurements to control and understand molecular structural dynamics and the coupling of electronic and nuclear motions in a variety of material and chemical systems. Leveraging these successes, and taking advantage of recent system-level improvements in machine reliability, we are pleased to announce MeV-UED’s first External User experimental time ("Run 1") in mid 2019.
Please note the following important information:
Virtual MeV-UED Meeting will be held at 8:30 am PST on Tuesday, February 19, 2019
A webcast meeting will be held to better inform the users about the developments at MeV-UED before the upcoming MeV-UED proposal deadline on March 12th. MeV-UED staff will inform the community about the latest capabilities and be available for Q&A. Information on how to connect will be sent separately.
Experimental stations available to users in Run 1:
Solid State (Materials) & Warm Dense Matter (Single Shot) Endstations
Xiaozhe Shen (firstname.lastname@example.org), Alex Reid (email@example.com), and Ming-Fu Lin (firstname.lastname@example.org)
For more detailed information on MeV-UED’s performance, please contact the instrument experimental points of contact listed above, and see our instrument specifications, and our experimental layout.
