Dear LCLS Users,
In response to the ongoing worldwide outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), SLAC curtailed its on-site operations on March 17, 2020.
The LCLS user program is currently suspended. Please do not plan to come to SLAC until you receive new guidance.
For users previously scheduled for LCLS Run 18 or UED Run 2, we will be drawing up a revised schedule. We will be in touch with you individually as soon as we have information on our restart timeline.
For users with research proposals related to the coronavirus, please visit the DOE Light Source Portal. LCLS will be prioritizing such research when we come back online. Please email Sebastien Boutet to discuss your proposals.
For all other users, please continue to plan your experiment with your LCLS Point Of Contact, but suspend travel plans until you have new guidance from us.
These are challenging times and we understand this will result in delays in meeting your research objectives. SLAC is committed to working with you during this unprecedented situation.
If you have specific questions or concerns about how this may impact your experiment, please contact your experiment Point of Contact (POC) or the User Office.
For information on the policies and procedures put in place by SLAC in response to the outbreak, please visit https://emergency.slac.stanford.edu/.
Please let us know if you have any questions or other suggestions; we welcome your input.
